Why is important that we stay acedemic?

It is important that we stay acedemic so we don't forget the material we learned during the year.We will stay acedemic by reading 2-3 books during the summer.

       It is important to do academic work during the summer because it prevents you from falling behind,and prevets your IQ level from going down. It also looks good on a high school applicaton.
       Over the summer we will take books from school or the library and read them along with the book we were assigned to read. Some of us will go to a summer program which will also help us.

The importance of academic work during the summer

It's important to work an academic work during the summer, so you won't be behind at the beginning of te school year. Also if you don't do academic work over the summer you will get a low grade during the quarter. Over the summer we will read "The True Meaning of Smekday" an d coplete other books over the summer, at least 3 or 5.

We alarmed by how students are not having the freedom to choose their clothes. Reminding that students are unique in all different ways and we will not know for example they are funky because all of us look the same and not different.

 What we would like to change in school is the uniform.

One way to improve our grades to work on MUN and Science by writing flashcard and turning in Hunger. Also we can improve on English Unit tests by bringing home our binders and studig over major topic with a study buddy.Last we can work on or Math grades by  participation in class if we know or don't understand a topic.

Ways to improve

A way to improve in the 4th quater is to study hard going over classnotes, and homework. Another way is to ask an adult for tutoring, making your own quiz and checking it over. Also to raise your hand more in class.

Improve

Brandon would improve on his math grade by  doing well on homework and getting good grades on test. Michael would do all his homework and get high grades on his test. Reynaldo would turn math homework and try to get high grades on his test.

Improving Your Quarter Four Grade!

         Three ways to improve your quarter four grade are to do Scientific Hunger in Science, participate more in Math class, and to be more specific in open responses during English class.

3 ways to improve our 4th quarter grade!!

We the G-shockers think that to improve our 4th quarter grade we need to in science always do our historical hunger.  Also that we need to double check our homework. In Math always double check our work no matter if it is a test or a homework. We also need to participate in every question asked. Finally,in Fitness when you are tired do not quit keep on trying. why is using your college voice important?

First, using your college voice is important because your peers/classmates can value on what you say. Next, we can practice our college voice when you get called on in class and in sports since it is outside.Finally we can encourage others by putting your hand to your ear if you can't hear them.

You need to have a college voice so people can hear you and hear your great ideas. An oppotunity for us to use a college voice is during school and speeches. I encourage my friends by telling them to speak more louder and pull your ear toward the speaker.

3 Important Things About College Voices??

How is a College Important?

What are three things we have learned during the field trip?

We learned that the six glass towers from the Holocaust Memorial represented the six death camps out of the hundreds of concentration camps. The numbers on the towers were the Nazi's code tattoos on the Jews that died, so they weren't a name they were a number. Lastly Boston used to be mostly underwater until the people of Boston cut down the tops of hills and spread it all out in the ocean so Boston could not flood as much and to be larger.

The first thing we learned is that a numbers represented a person that was murdered in the concentration camps. The second thing we learned is that the uniform represented different colonies. The last thing we learned is that the stairs with different states represented the thirteen colonies.Also we learned about new weapons and badges.

Chrismary learned all the sad stories from the Holocaust Memorial that happened.
Ivette learned what the steam represent in the Holocaust Memorial. Isacc learned that large parts of Boston were underwater. Lydia learned about the weapons and the suits soilders used.

3 Things We Learned On the Trip.

Three things we learned on the trip were that there was an artillery room in Faniel Hall. Also, that most of Boston was underwater and Bostonians filled the water with dirt and trash. The third thing we learned was that 99% of Denmark's Jews survived because of people in Denmark who risked there lives to help the Jews.

Eating Breakfast

We think eating breakfast is more important because it keeps you energized, keeps you focus, you wont be hungry at school, and you will be able to participate more in class.

What is more important eating breakfast,getting a good night sleep, or getting to school on time? Why?

Our group agrees on that sleep is the most important thing to do. With sleep you have energy for the day. Sleep affects our brain. With more sleep your brain can generate more energy and can process information faster, with less sleep our brain loses cell and slowly starts to shut down.

We believe that getting a good night sleep is important because it makes it easier to concentrate during class. Also we are more aware during the day and active. The G-SH0CK3RS think a good night sleep is good for you for many reasons one is the next morning you will not be tired for school and will have energy.Also if you get a goodnight sleep you will wake up early so you can get to school early and have a good breakfast. Chrismary thinks sleep is better because In the morning I will be energized.

How to gain will power

We believe the way to increase our will power is by not watching a lot of t.v, not playing a lot of video games, not to be in the internet 247, and to study when we have tests and quizzes.

How can we achieve willpower in our life?

Many of us belive that willpower is in everyone, even if they cannot be patient. We believe willpower is like learning to read and write. Education is bitter in the roots but the fruit is sweeter. To increase your willpower we think having your mind on one thing and to not be tempted by technology like TV and videogames. You should do work in a very quiet room where no electronics are and no people talking.

The success for our homeroom took perserverence, hard work, and no fooling around. For perservering students had to push themselves out of the comfert zone while we were singing last week. Also when students were trying to act funny we would always come back as a team so we don't fool around. Then for hard work we try our best to sing and be on task. These things led us to our homeroom success of winning the homeroom singing competion.

Our group said three things one was our grades inspires us to be ourselves because it tells us what we are good at and what we need to improve on.The second thing is our teachers in Excel Academy because they give us advice like Mr.Pangburn,they will give us good criticism not just tell us what we are doing good on.The last thing is awardments because for example honroll are for the students that all of their grade are 80 or above which makes us want to get it by hard work which will take perseverance.

who or what inspires you to be at your best ?

One of us said that our mom inspires us because she came to US for a better future for us. She also came to follow her dreams of being a nurse. Her persrverance inspires me to keep on trying . Another person said her aunt inspires her because she had cancer and she lived through it which motivates her to keep persever ing through hard times. The last person said her cousisn inspires her because she was the first person in her family to graduate. She had a lot of difficulties growing up but she perservered through it and she is graduating college as a Social Worker.
