We disagree with the resolution that NCAA athletes should be paid. We think this because right when when the athletes graduate, they will move on to the NBA and be paid more than before. In college, basketball is a hobby, not a job and if you are really passionate about it, you don't care about the money, you only care about the sport. The main reason NCAA athlete are shown on TV is to show of their skill and for the NBA to draft them into teams. If you are in division one, you are most likely to be drafted into the NBA and earn more money. Getting a basketball scholarship is almost like being paid for what you do but it goes to your education. You will get to have a great education and play what you love.

We think that the NCAA should not get paid because some of there schools can not affford paying the players. Also they wanted to sign up for basketball because they wantd to play not just because they wanted to get paid. Also because it is a job not a specific job where you can get paid.Players gets good education.

The Name

We think that the NCAA athletes should be payed beacause the NCAA makes more than 6 billion a year. Also the scholarships do not cover the full cost of collage. College atheletes have their names and images used for merchandise that makes a lot of money, yet they are not compensated. Also what  happens to players that get injured like Kevin Ware !

We were not in complete agreement but we decided, the NCAA athletes should be paid because if a player gets injured playing a game they could use a portion of the 6 billion dollers they make a year. Some of the college athletes get their name used in merchandise and do not even see a single doller.

NCAA athletes should be paid for all of the hard work that they put into playing for their team. Also, because their image is put on TV and in video games. Also the NCAA should cover their injuries while playing for their team. The athletes also need the money for college and life because most of the athletes dont have jobs other than playing for the NCAA. NCAA gains $6,000,000,000.00 a year and dont pay the athletes.

Should NCAA athletes be paid? Yes , we agree with the statement that NCAA athletes should be paid because they take lots of risks of injuring themselfs or creating a bad reputation.Also college athleltes have their names and images used for merchandise that makes money ,yet they are not compensated, the scholarships dont cover the full cost of college.lastly they should get paid because the school gets the trophy that they earned but the athletes dont get anything in return for there hardwork.Thank You.

   We think that NCAA players should not be paid, because they might not use the money in the correct forms. If players get injured then the money should be used to cover insurance. If they chose the sport they want it becuase it's their hobbie and sports shouldn't be played for the money. The money should be used for equipment, transportation to away games, and uniforms. Also, most schools can't pay the players so it wouldn't be fair to those who got paid.

We do not believe India should become a central government. There would be a power vacuum. There wouldn't be any civil war. Muslims would be free and have a say in their country (Pakistan).

We believe that India should be united when it gets independence from Great Britain. It's silly to separate into Pakistan and India. We believe this because all religions can be included, heard, and accepted in the Central Government of India. Hindus and Muslims can live together in India. Just because we have different beliefs doesn't mean we can't live together. In fact, we can work together to fight in wars and communism. One team, one sound, India will rise as one!!!

 My team belives India should be seperate because the Muslim voices would be heard they will be allowed to show their religious symbols.  They will not have to do what the British belive is right and if Britian will like to add any new laws there could be an easier agreement. The muslim does not have to do anything aainst their religion.

We agree with the statement that India should be united with a strong central government because if we are united we will have a larger army to protect our land. Also because we will not be alone to fight civil wars or any attacks. We also agree because no one will have to move their homes. Lastly we should be united because if we are not united the peoples' vocies will not be heard in government you need to be loud to be heard.

what is YOUR  opinion on the debate statement: after independence india should be unified country with with a strong central govermant? We agree because is inda is united then India would be stronger and powerful.we also agree because if India gains independece they will/should be united.

We agrewith the statement that "after independance,India should be a unified country with a strong central government" because Muslims and Hindus will be stronger united. If Muslims and Hindus work together,they can conquer their weaknesses. If Muslims split up into Pakistan, Afghanistan can take over and spread commmunism. Christians, Muslims and Jews can work together in Jerusalem, Muslims can work together in India.

India is most like Latin America because both were treated badly by the Europeans. In Latin America mines have many diamonds just like India, and that is the same reason for why Europeans wanted both Latin America and India. In India the the Europeans were going against both religions (Islam & Hindu).

The story of India is connected to the other colonies that were colonized by British . After India was colonized by the British they made English the official langage. They were also a lot of christianiy when British came to Inida. The also taxed.

India is connected to Hispaniola because Indians were always threatened and kicked out of their land when a new group of people arrived.The gov"t stucture was also complicated. Also people were put in different social classes.

India's story with colonization is very similar to the story of the Dominican Republic and Haiti. One similarity is that the Europeans (Spanish, Hispanola and British, India) took all the resources for themselves and didn't share. Also, the social classes were similar. The Dominican's classes were Europeans first and natives last like in India.

The story of India is similar to Hispaniola for many reasons like how their colonizers took their resources, people and also how many people were made to convert into Christianity and many indegionous people rebelled against the mother country.First in Hispaniola many of the Taino Indians were forced to mine copper, gold and plant sugar canes like the Indians who planted tea and mine diamonds and copper.

India is connected to Colombia because both countries have an unfair government. Also, both countries were ruled by European countries. Also, because both India and Colombia have social class.

How is the story of  India connected to another country or civilization we've learned about this year ?

India conntects to Latin America because both of them have have a system and social classes that the richer people get government jobs and better paying. And the lower classes have very dirty jobs. Also India was conolized by the British and Latin America was colonized by the British and the Spanish . Both India and Latin America had great resources that the Spanish and the British wanted.
